As Seen on TV, Part 2

We've been conducting a little science experiment in our house over the past 6 days. I bought a set of Debbie Meyer Green Bags, in the hopes that they would live up to their claim of keeping fresh fruits and veggies fresher, longer. Well, as they say, the proof is in the pictures... I kept 1 banana from a bunch out in a fruit bowl, like I would normally leave my bananas. And the rest of the bananas in the bunch went into a green bag.

Here's what they looked like after 1 day (the banana on the left got left out of the bag):

And here's what they looked like after 3 days:

After 5 days (the banana in front is the 1 that got left out of the bag):

And here's what they looked like this morning on day 6:
It's a very visually noticeable difference. I was originally going to wait the full 9 days because the bags claim to keep fruit fresh for up to 9 days. But that poor little banana in the front needs some help... So, I put it into the green bag this morning. No sense in wasting a piece of fruit just for the sake of science. No fruit shall be harmed during this experiment. :-) So, overall I give the Debbie Meyer Green Bags 2 big thumbs up. They sell for $9.99 at Target, and in my opinion are worth the cost because I can buy all of my fresh produce in 1 shopping trip now instead of needing to go back to the store mid-week to buy more. Yea!
