Avery decided that she wanted to keep her tooth, and asked me if it was okay if she wrote the Tooth Fairy a letter instead. I am so bummed that my scanner won't work, for some reason I can't quite figure out... I wish you could see her little note - it's so cute. This is what she wrote.
Dear Tooth Fairy,
I want to keep my tooth. I hope you are not upset, but I love it.
Avery
The Tooth Fairy's Response...
Dear Avery,
I could never be mad at you. I completely understand, because I love teeth too! I bet you were very brave when you lost it, and you didn't cry at all. Because you were so brave and honest, I am going to let you keep your tooth, and I am going to leave you this very special coin.
Love,
The Tooth Fairy
And the Tooth Fairy left her a very special quarter from South Dakota. How on Earth did she know that we're going to SD in a couple of weeks? That is so cool! :-)

Patty,
The tooth fairy note idea was a genius! Avery was sooooo happy when she saw it this morning. You are a great mommy! The kids and I are thankful we have you.
