AVERY: "Mommy, what do Police Officers do?"
ME: "Well, they keep the peace and make sure everyone is obeying the law."
AVERY: "What happens when people don't obey the law?"
ME: "Usually, the Police Officer will give the person a warning or write them a ticket. But sometimes the Police Officer has to take the person to jail."
AVERY: "So, they take care of the bad guys?"
SAMUEL: "Like Batman!"
AVERY: "NO! Like God."
ISAAC: "NO! Like Blues Clues."
Folks, I can't make this stuff up...
