"Be not the slave of your own past. Plunge into the sublime seas, dive deep and swim far, so you shall come back with self-respect, with new power, with an advanced experience that shall explain and overlook the old." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

So, how many peaches did our big, beautiful peach tree produce this year?
1... 1 stinkin' peach!
What on earth am I doing wrong?

I was the one who guessed 1 peach. What did I win?
You are not doing anything wrong. I went to www.organicgardening.com and typed peach trees, then peach. When the flowers fully open you are to take a small soft brush and gently touch one flower then the one next to it to cross pollinate it. Do this every day to different ones. Love, Mom
To continue what I was saying in my previous response, if you would plant some flowering bushes somewhere close to the peach tree the bees would cross pollinate for you. This would be a lot easier.
Thanks mom for your tips. I'm definitely going to plan on planting flowers around that area next spring. Too much time and $ invested for it to not produce fruit year after year. I thought it was that I had not pruned it, so I did some research and pruned it this spring. Still nothing. So I am anxious to try the flowers. As for your prize... hmmm... I'm going to need to think about that and get back to you! :-) Love you!
It was 19 years ago that Hector and I were married. We were high school sweethearts, young, a bit foolish, and completely in love. Almost 7 years later, our first son Samuel was born. Not even 2 years after that, our daughter Avery "graced" us with her presence. And finally, 3 1/2 years later, in the middle of an ice storm, our second son Isaac made his grand entrance into our family. Our family was made complete and The 5 Aces was formed!
