"Hey Mama, what's this?" Isaac held out the plastic dinosaur, waving it in my face. I had no idea what type of dinosaur it was. And so I said the first (and really only) dinosaur name that came to me. "It's a Triceratops, Isaac." His puzzled expression told me that he wasn't buying it. As he ran off, I thought our conversation was over. Silly, Mama! About 2 seconds later, Isaac came running back into the room holding, you guessed it, a Triceratops. "No, no, no, Mama. This is a Triceratops. What's this?" That crazy looking plastic dinosaur was taunting me, as if to say "Name me! Go on, I dare you to name me, Lady!" It was at this point that I realized that Isaac was not going to settle for the wrong answer, because he already knew the correct answer. He just wanted to see if I knew the correct answer too.
I got online and thanks be to Google, I was able to find this handy little website, The Dinosaur Datafile, which informed me that the dinosaur is called a Parasaurolophus. As I butchered my way through the pronunciation of the dinosaur's name, Isaac looked up at me and said, "Yeah, Mama. That's it! It is a Parasaurolophus. You got it!" And because the boy asked, I also discovered that his Matchbox truck is a Dodge M80 model...
And so, I would like to thank PBS and the creators of the hit cartoon Dinosaur Train, for teaching my child everything there is to know about dinosaurs. But I would especially like to thank Google, for helping perpetuate the notion in my 3 year old's mind that his Mommy knows all, and can do all things asked of her. Thank you, Google.

3 Years
3 years ago today, I held my baby boy in my arms and I knew the answer to the question, "Do you believe in love at first sight?"

My precious Isaac... Sweet-natured, adorable, lovable, easy-going, comical, always smiling, always laughing, with your wild and crazy hair, and a spirit to match! You bring so much joy and laughter to my life.

"God has given me laughter." Genesis 21:6

Sweetest! Boy! Ever!
Tonight, as I was drying off after my shower, I lost my footing a little. Isaac was sitting on the floor in the bathroom waiting for me to be done with my shower, and when he saw me slip a bit, he said, "You okay, Mama?" And then he reached out his hand to me and said, "Here Mama, take my hand. I help you." And he helped me out of the bath tub.
See? I told you... Sweetest! Boy! Ever!!!!
